The Great Pumpkin - Halloween Cake Pops

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

I've always had a special place in my heart for the Peanuts people and this is one of my all-time favorites.

In a similar style to the Mario & Luigi cake I made, this delightful dessert pays tribute to Linus' search for
The Great Pumpkin!

This chocolate cake is bordered with white chocolate Kit Kats and topped with shredded coconut, dyed green.
Mini candy pumpkins are accompanied by cake pops in the pumpkin patch on top. And Cake Pop Linus stands in the middle of it all holding his sign and trusty blue blanket, both made out of fondant.

Even if The Great Pumpkin doesn't appear, I'm sure Linus will find something to do to keep busy!

Here's Joel hanging out with some of his
favorite Peanuts people!
I made these a few years back for the boys.

  3. Please tell me the secret....how do you get your white Choc & colored wafers to melt and be so thin...easy for dipping? I have used shortening, but then they get oily and they still don't thin it out so much.

  5. Thanks for all the great comments! This one was a lot of fun. We LOVE the Peanuts!

@Mommyof4- I typically use a just little bit of Crisco on the candy melts to get the right consistency. If it's still too thick, you can add more in small increments. Hope that helps!
