Love Bird Cake Pops - Part 1

Here is the first of two different Love Bird Cake Pop designs
I have to share this year!

Just like with the
Love Puppies and the Boxed Hearts, I shaped these by flattening my cake/frosting mixture between two pieces of wax paper and then cutting with Wilton’s mini heart cutter. I love this method of shaping pops when using cutters because it’s so quick and simple,
and doesn’t leave much of a mess.

For the features on the birds, I used mini heart sprinkles for the wings, mini chocolate chips for the nose, and candy eyes.

Complete ‘how-to’ directions for these pops can also be found in
my book Pop.O.Licious Cake Pops. It’s not too late to pick up a copy for the one you love as a great Valentine’s gift!

My second Love Bird design is coming soon, so stay tuned…

  1. You should know by now that I'm all over your work. Already posted at Onlu Cake Pops! Joey's Love Bird Cake Pops

Dare I suggest that maybe the beak could have been heart-shaped too? Or would we be entering overkill? Heh heh :)
