Purrr-fectly Cute Halloween Cake Pops

I just had to get back in the kitchen today to make these cute little guys!
Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year, and nothing gets me more excited about it than a brand new cake pop!

I know I've been MIA for a while... I recently moved with my family, so that has taken up a lot of our time. And I haven't really been able to play around in the kitchen. But I've been thinking about this particular cake pop for a while, so today I finally made it!

Here's a quick description on how it was done,
and I included a pic at the bottom to help you out a little bit...

- I took one regular cake ball and divided it into two separate balls.
- The head is about 1/3 the size of the pumpkin.
- I dipped the stick in candy coating to use as the glue, and stuck it in the bottom of the pumpkin.
- I put a little bit of melted candy coating on top of the pumpkin and placed the head.
- After it dried completely, I dipped whole thing in orange candy coating.
- As it dried, I placed a heart sprinkle upside down on top for the ear.
- After it dried, I dipped the top portion in black candy coating to create the head.
- As it was drying, I placed a full orange candy melt on the side of the cat's head for the pumpkin lid.
- As that dried, I used a little bit of melted orange candy coating and placed a green sprinkle on top. (You can use anything you want for this; green candy coated sunflower seed, etc.)
- The paws are piped on black candy melt.
- A fun combination of sprinkles made up the cat's face.
- And on the back I used melted candy coating to place about an inch of black licorice
pinwheel to create the tail.

What purrr-fectly cute cake pops!

What a purrr-fect match!
My son was so excited to dig in. Definitely love at first sight!
